Terms and Conditions for Submitting Abstracts to [IPNET Kenya]
- Eligibility
- The abstract must be the original work of the author(s). Submissions that are plagiarized or involve unethical research practices will be automatically rejected.
- Abstracts that have been submitted or published elsewhere may not be considered unless explicitly stated.
- Abstract Content
- Abstracts must clearly describe the main objectives, methods, results, and conclusions of the research.
- The abstract must be concise, the cumulative character limit for the abstract is 2500 characters, including spaces.
- Submission Process
- Abstracts for mentorship and conference should be submitted through the journal’s online submission system by the designated deadline.
- Each submission must include the full names of all authors, their institutional affiliations, and contact information.
- Authors are required to ensure that the abstract adheres to the formatting requirements provided by IPNET.
- Peer Review and Evaluation
- All submitted abstracts will undergo a peer-review process, during which they will be evaluated based on scientific merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to IPNET.
- The final decision to accept or reject the abstract will be communicated to the corresponding author.
- Copyright and Publication Rights
- By submitting an abstract, the author(s) agree to transfer copyright to IPNET upon acceptance. The author(s) must ensure that the work does not infringe on the copyright of others.
- Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest and funding sources related to the research.
- The abstract may be published online or in print, and the author(s) grant permission for its distribution and reproduction.
- Author Responsibility
- The submitting author must ensure that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the abstract before submission.
- Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the content in the abstract.
- Revisions and Modifications
- If the abstract is accepted, authors may be asked to revise it based on reviewer feedback or formatting guidelines prior to final publication.
- Any significant changes to the abstract after submission (such as author additions or removals) must be approved by the IPNET scientific team.
- Acceptance and Publication
- Accepted abstracts will be published in the IPNET upcoming issue or online supplement as per the publication schedule.
- Authors will be notified of the acceptance decision and the expected publication date.
- Ethical Considerations
- All research submitted for consideration should adhere to ethical guidelines, including approval by relevant institutional review boards (IRBs) or ethics committees, when applicable.
- Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to the research and funding.
- Withdrawal of Abstracts
- Authors may withdraw their abstract prior to acceptance, but once accepted, it cannot be withdrawn unless under exceptional circumstances and with approval from the scientific team.
